About Me

I was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved to Illinois during medical school.  I completed my pediatric training at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.  Working with children and their families has been my lifelong dream.  Since I was 10 years old, I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician.  I loved my own pediatrician in Philadelphia and wanted to be in the outpatient setting.  The next dilemma was “Do I join a group after training?  OR take a giant leap of faith into opening my own practice?”  During my training in Nevada, I had taken my daughter to her pediatrician in Las Vegas.  After spending 2 hours in the waiting room only to be seen by the doctor for about 5 minutes, my decision to go into private practice was easy.  How can anyone get to know me and my child in 5 minutes?  It was then that I started to imagine my dream practice, where quality of care would mean more than the quantity of patients seen and where sick visits would take priority, but not at the expense of well checks. And a practice where children would leave the office not remembering the shots they had, but the BUBBLES that were blown after.

I was extremely happy and grateful for the opportunity to return to Illinois and work with a wonderful mentor and colleague, Dr. Mukesh Doshi.  Working together for 1 year really helped me to focus on learning how to take care of a practice.  And out of 12 years of primary education,  5 years of undergraduate education, 4 years of medical education, and 3 years of pediatric training came…BUBBLES PEDIATRICS!!!

At the core of who I am as a person, I believe in quality of care and taking the time to know my patients and their families.  The care I provide is deeply seeded in my own personal experiences in raising my 6 year old daughter as well as current guidelines and standards by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  I strive to provide compassionate and loving care to my patients, treating each child with unique and personalized attention.  There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child.  I believe that the pediatrician is a vital source in that village, and that my role is always to offer support and education to parents and to be an advocate for children at every level.
I am fluent in Gujrati and English, I understand Hindi and some Spanish.  I welcome you to Bubbles Pediatrics.
